“be U. Manufakturen” has existed for some time. During my eleven years in the UK, I was inspired by numerous companies that created handmade products with dedication. The bedding and home textiles sector in particular seemed to need attention. It was rare to find a company that offered bespoke bedding in individual designs and sizes – and that’s where we started.
We proudly say: We were the pioneers in Europe who offered their bed linen in hand-made, reusable bags, matching the fabric of the bed linen itself. Because for us, environmental protection is our top priority.
Over time, we expanded our range to include specialized cosmetic products. Two of our stores in Brühl near Cologne were thriving until the corona pandemic hit. Then suddenly everything was different.
The inspiration for the “House of Manufactories” came during a YouTube session when I saw an Australian version of “The Lion’s Den”. A concept that I also saw in Germany, but in an improved form. This led to the founding of the “House of Manufactories”. Today we work hand in hand with over 100 exquisite manufacturers.
